Writing a letter to past, present, and future me

Hey everyone! Do you remember those times capsules? You would make in school to look back on at the end of the year. Well, I wanted to do something similar. I wanted to make a letter to myself in the past, present, and future. I thought this would be interesting to write. So, here is my letter to myself at 3 different times of my life.

Past Self

Dear Te'Alliyiah, I hope you are doing well. I know life is hard. it will get easier. Sometimes I think about how you were before everything happened. I miss the unique little girl who spoke her mind. Slowly, I find myself going back to that inner child. The person you wanted to be. Thank you for always being you. I know life can be unfair. It has gotten better. Remember when we would pretend to drive and be an adult. Well, I'm almost 18! Honestly, I'm terrified to be an adult. But I know you got this! I believe it. I'm moving to New York City like you always wanted. I know I'll make you proud. I wish I could hug you! You will need it for the road ahead. Just remember you are such a beautiful person, never forget it.

Present Self

Hey Te'Alliyiah, You are a senior now! I'm so proud of you! I'm so happy we made it. It is currently summertime and it hasn't hit me that we are graduating. I'm a little nervous about the next phase of my life. I don't want to be away from my family. Even though I seem to shut them out sometimes, I love them. I wish could be 10 again. When I thought being an adult was far away and playing with my dolls. Secretly watching Hey Arnold when I was supposed to be asleep. I'm happy that you are finally finding yourself. I think being in quarantine helped me learn a lot. For the first time, I can say I love myself. I wear what I want, eat what I want, and being who I want to be. I'm excited for our next chapter in life. New York City, Baby!!

Future Self

Dear future Te'Alliyiah, How's New York? I hope you love it. I'm so excited that you are finally in New York going to university. I'm fucking proud of you!! You have grown so much in the past 5 years. I know you are still blogging and doing youtube. Did you hit 1 million? Even if you didn't, I'm so proud of you for making it. As I write this, I'm listening to Her's - What Once Was. It is kinda ironic considering I'm writing this in what once was the present. I hope you are doing well. Did you meet the one? Do you have amazing friends? If so, hey y'all. Anyways, I love you and continue to study hard. I know you will do amazing things. I love you <33
